BIO
After busting onto the scene three years ago with a surprise 2nd place finish at the US Open Slopestyle, Chas Guldemond quickly signed with DC and continued to climb through the competition ranks, reaching podium after podium.

Originally from Laconia, New Hampshire, Chas is known for his contest prowess. Chas currently leads the Swatch TTR standings following a third place overall finish at the Nissan X-Trail jam in Tokyo, December 12, 2008. With a back-to-back contest schedule, Chas will compete on the Dew Tour, then in slopestyle at the Winter X Games 2009.

For the past seasons, Chas has been filming with the Standard crew and has appeared in three Standard films, including Catch The Vapors, Draw The Line, and the recently released Aesthetica. When he’s not competing, New Hampshire native resides in Truckee, calling Northstar-at-Tahoe Resort his local mountain.

Favorite food? Anything from Switzerland. The food is so good there I gain ten pounds every time I go.

Favorite thing to do at the DC MTN.LAB? Eat all the good food in the fridge, then go out for a fat session in the park with some teammates.
Favorite snowboarding mag? They are all really good, but I like the photo annuals the best.

BESTS & WORSTS
Best place to ride? Why? Northstar-At-Tahoe because there are so many fun things to do in your day, such as ride the stash, freeride the mountain, ride the park, and you can always jock out in their ill pipe and try to learn some new tricks.
Worst place to ride? Why? I don’t have a worst place to ride because everywhere has its pros and cons. That’s the cool thing about snowboarding - you can make it fun no matter how crappy the mountain is.
Best thing about snowboarding? The creativity and the way you can express yourself while doing something you love.
Worst thing about snowboarding? The worst thing about snowboarding for me would probably hiking a backcountry jump in waist deep powder and not being able to land your trick. That’s frustrating.
