DC Flow rider Sage Kotsenburg bags second at the Totino’s Open Dew Tour stop
Its all in the title. Sage Kotsenburg, at the ripe young age of 16, came out swinging this past week and took home second place in slopestyle at the first Dew Tour stop of the season. Sage had to claw his way up from qualifiers, through semi’s, and into the finals alongside fellow DC rider Halldor Helgason (DC team member Torstein Horgmo pre-qualified for the finals).
Sage threw down on his first run to secure the second place finish. His run included a cab 9, backside double cork 1080, into a front 1080.
Torstein secured fourth with an impressive jump line that went switch back 12, frontside 1080, backside 1080 with a little shoulder dip in it. Unfortunately the rails weren't as clean and the judges counted that against him. DC Am Halldor Helgason finished in 5th with a double cork of his own.
All in all a ton of new tricks were thrown down and congrats to Sage for his first major podium!
